The Kent Lane Rental Scheme gives companies who need to close a road or lane to complete highway works a financial incentive to make sure it is carried out in a less disruptive way. The Kent Lane Rental Scheme charges companies a daily rate to work on specific roads during busy periods in Kent. The revenue funds the running costs of the scheme with any extra revenue going into the Kent Lane Rental Highway Innovation Fund for projects that fulfil the objectives of the scheme.

JAG(UK) represents the best interests of every Highway and Road Authority in the United Kingdom.

It was formed to provide highways advice and support to the government through the Highway Authorities and Utilities Committee, HAUC(UK) and also through direct contact with government departments.

As the UK’s only Trade Association representing utilities and their contractors on street works issues, we promote best practice, self regulation and a two-way relationship with Government and other relevant stakeholders. Street Works UK is also the utility arm of the Highway Authorities and Utilities Committee (HAUC(UK)), working collaboratively with roads / local authorities and national and regional governments to drive up standards of road and street works in Scotland, England, Northern Ireland and Wales.

GeoPlace is the home of the UPRN and USRN the central linchpin in linking geospatial datasets in the UK. GeoPlace is a joint venture between Ordnance Survey and the Local Government Association LGA) and formally support JAG(UK) in it mission.
