Code of practice for street works inspections
This Code of Practice, issued under NRSWA section 73F, enhances street activity performance management by empowering authorities to inspect and enforce compliance. Updated with 2023 legislative changes, it minimizes disruption during roadworks. Prepared by HAUC England, it reflects contributions from the DfT, utility industries, and highway authorities. Effective April 2023, it replaces prior editions and streamlines excavation and reinstatement practices for better road management and compliance.
