Climate change is upon us…what we do now will have a long-lasting impact for generations to come. To keep global warming within 1.5°C of pre-industrial levels, requires global greenhouse gas emissions to peak before 2025, be reduced 43% by 2030 and completely by 2050 to avoid extreme climatic changes taking hold: now commonly known as ‘Net Zero 2050..
The project started in April 2022 aiming to understand the sectors impact on Climate Change. Partnerships with the University of Birmingham and EA Technology and supported by GeoPlace, has enabled us to start to prepare a sector-wide approach to achieving Net Zero emissions.
Today we publish the finding the of the Discovery Phase of the project. View the 'Road to Net Zero' discovery report here.
We are now moving on to the next phase to design a plan to achieving Net Zero with support from a Carbon Calculator, an all consequences framework and much more.

The Charter is focused on meeting the challenges of achieving Net Zero for the UK’s street and road works sector, while considering the wider consequences of our collective actions - aligned with HAUC(UK)’s five-year vision.
